The crazy Detective

"I'd rather be anywhere but here, " said the detective as everyone clapped. It seemed like everyone in the station was happy that the detective was forced to resign. That particular event was the turning point of his life. He realized no one really cared about him. His wife and children moved to another state after their divorce. The detective sat in his office for a while gazing at his memorable pictures one last time. He wore a tuxedo with turquoise rhinestone embedded on the front pocket. As he walked out to his limousine, many of his co-workers mocked him. The detective drove to his home thinking about all the good times he had with his family. He thought since his family was gone and he has no one else to turn to, that he might as well not exist in this world.

The next morning before work the detective received a lot of phone calls from his boss and co-workers. They wanted to apologize to him for their crude remarks. Everybody knew the detective had mental issues since his family abandoned him. The agents in the station were afraid something might happen to the detective because he lost his job. The detective wasn't answering his phone and his boss immediately sent two agents to check on the detective. The two agents bust the door open and found a stool in the kitchen and a rope tied to the roof of the house. They found the detective unconscious next to the dining table. The ambulance took him to the hospital and the doctors found the most unusual cause of death. When the investigators put all the evidence together, it was confirmed that the detective choked on mayonnaise while trying to make a hamburger.

As always you have a brought to life the story! Your humor is "spot" on!

You have a couple of minor grammer errors...last sentence in the first paragraph, change WERE to was.

Second paragraph: I would start it with, "The next morning, before______________ (insert idea)the detective could wrap his mind around the fact that he was unemployeed......It felt rushed in the end.

Great job...let me know when you redo the ending...
